Happy Canada Day

7/1/2022

I thank God that I live in Canada, for todays beautiful summer weather, and to have the privilege to spend Canada Day with thousands of others in beautiful Harrison Hot Springs.
The RCMP, our MLA Kelli Padden and chief Ralph Leon of our Sts’ailes partners joined mayor Leo Facio for opening ceremonies. Today included a pet parade, kids games and great music. And a parade including me and our Mustang convertible decked out in flags. Todd Richard, Rockwell, what a great day of music. Music will be followed by fireworks over the Lake.
I don’t usually post photos of myself but here I am. For those of you cynically thinking that the photo probably arises from my arrest I can suggest that the following charges may be pending:
  • Count 1. Having the whitest legs in Harrison
  • Count 2. Dancing (badly) in the plaza to the great music of Rockwell (Pam was my coconspirator).
  • Count 3. Driving the Mustang convertible in the parade with no hands. (I discovered that I’m coordinated enough to wave to the parade crowd with both hands!)
I am hoping for bail.
A great day to be alive. A great day to reflect on the lessons of our country’s past and look forward to our future. Have a great Canada Day!
